Van insurance: Vauxhall Movano named ‘best new van’

A recent addition to vehicle manufacturer Vauxhall’s commercial offering, the redesigned Movano, has won a coveted award for its design.

Scooping the Best New Van prize at the Van Fleet World Honours, which took place last night at the Royal Automobile Club in London, the Movano is said to combine innovative technologies with functionality and economy.

John Kendall, editor of Van Fleet World, said the model’s second incarnation is “far more competitive” than before, with a wider range of options and an ideal weight for the 17-seat minibus sector.

He said: “The Vauxhall Movano offers a significant improvement over the outgoing model with some really creative thinking about the driver environment, plus an excellent new engine derived from the Renault-Nissan two-litre common rail engine.”

The Fleet World Honours are held annually, recognising those motor manufacturers, service companies and individuals who are considered to have achieved the highest possible level of excellence in their industry.

Vauxhall cars were also acknowledged at the awards, with the new Astra being named Best New Car.
